Tamás was born in Hungary, graduated with a degree in automotive collision repair. After graduating he worked at the Peugeot dealership in his hometown. In 2000 Tamás sold everything he owned to move to America. When he arrived he didn’t know the language and found an opportunity in the Tampa Bay Area working with a Hungarian-born general contractor. He spent five years working under the contractor learning the home building and renovation trade.

When the contractor decided to move back to Europe, Tamás opened an automotive repair shop in Ybor (Tampa, FL), which he owned for several years. Tamás dreamed of living on the beach and go back to renovating houses, so he sold his shop and moved to Treasure Island, FL, where Tamás & Christina met.

Christina is a St Pete, FL native, and traveled extensively as a child due to her parent’s work. Christina’s love of painting, home decor & woodworking led her to manage and create for her family’s shops. Christina has over 15 years in the vacation rental industry. It all started in 2008 when Christina and her mom were on-site caretakers for a 10,000 sq ft luxury vacation rental (Waaay before AirBnb existed!)

After Tamás & Christina had their son they wanted to be fully involved in raising him. This led them to create Pineapple Cove Vacation Rentals, a one-stop-shop mom & pop type of management, where they furnish and decorate unique spaces for investors, 24/7 availability for guests, and listings that stand out from the rest.

As a passion project their construction and design background led them to build a one-of-a-kind ultra-lightweight nautical themed tiny house. Which they sold to an investor who uses it as a vacation rental.
